About

Grounded in evidence. Guided by compassion.

Steady Wings Psychology was founded on a simple belief: that every person deserves access to high-quality psychological support — wherever they are in Australia.

The practice

Why Steady Wings exists

Steady Wings Psychology was founded on a recognition that geography, busy schedules, and the stigma of walking into a clinic can all stand between people and the support they need. Telehealth removes those barriers — making it possible to access thoughtful, professional psychological care from the comfort and privacy of your own space.

I work with adults navigating some of life's most challenging moments — anxiety, depression, stress, major transitions, and the quieter struggles that are no less real. My approach is collaborative and evidence-based, always tailored to the individual I am working with.

What I stand for

My values

Compassion

I meet every person with warmth and genuine care — no judgement, no rush. You are more than your presenting concerns.

Evidence-based practice

My therapy draws on approaches with strong research support — CBT, ACT and DBT — adapted thoughtfully to each person's unique needs and goals.

Collaboration

Therapy works best as a partnership. I work with you, not at you — setting goals together and adjusting as your needs evolve.

Accessibility

Quality psychological care should be available to everyone. Telehealth is central to my practice — removing distance and logistics as barriers to support.

Mr Geoffrey Marks

BSc (Hons) Psychology · Registered Psychologist · APS & AAPI Member

I am a registered psychologist who believes that meaningful change starts with understanding your unique experiences, strengths and challenges. I approach therapy with curiosity, compassion and a genuine interest in understanding your perspective. I see therapy as a collaborative process where we work together to identify meaningful goals and develop practical, evidence-based strategies to support progress towards those goals. Whether you are seeking support through a difficult time or looking to make positive changes in your life, I look forward to working alongside you to help achieve goals that are meaningful to you.

How I work

A collaborative, tailored approach

No two people are the same, and neither are their therapy journeys. I begin by taking the time to understand your unique history, goals, and what you are hoping to change. From there, I draw on evidence-based frameworks — primarily CBT, ACT and DBT — selecting and blending approaches that best fit your needs. Sessions are held via secure video, at a time that works for you.
